Lucky is our official mascot.  Her narrow escape from slaughter is the inspiration behind the development of Misfit Acres. We bought her on August 21, 1994, from someone who picked her up at an auction where she was in the kill pen.  At the time, eight year old Lucky  did not work out at that home and was offered for sale at the same time I was looking for a horse. Perfect match - she stole my heart from the beginning.
